I was a little aprehensive about buying a non genuine ring solar charger, but i was willing to give it a try due to being half price of the ring solar surround and having the additional solar panel area above for charging too. I made the right decision and so far so good. The charger is really easy to install and as its a good construction set up, I've only used 2 screws in opposite corners of the frame instead of all 4 supplied. It's on a flat surface as you can see and it's absolutely solid against the utility room wall. My solar panel is facing the sun most of the day which is an obvious advantage, and so far it has charged my ring doorbell from 24% to 60% in 3 days while still being in full use. At this rate the battery will never run out or need removing to charge again. At the very least I'll not need to worry about my battery running out while on summer holidays. If your ring doorbell is facing the sun most of the day, this is an absolute cracking buy. Edited to add the fact that my doorbell has reached 100% charged by the morning of day 5 after install, and its been going off with motion sensor and push button alerts everyday throughout. Outstanding.

    I fitted this yesterday about 6pm and the ring doorbell was on 3% battery. I thought this would be a good test to see how effective it is.
    Checked at 11am today and itโ€™s now on 5%. Doesnโ€™t sound like much but, itโ€™s very cloudy and in this time has been running and working.
    This says to me on a sunny day it will work a treat! (Either way itโ€™s better than the official Ring one)
    Worth every penny payed and looks very modern!

    Overall this is a quality product made from tough hard plastic and all the screws line up. The only thing I found annoying was that they did not design this in such a way that you could use the 4 original holes with inserted plastic anchors on brick from the Ring Doorbell standard mounting. This uses two screws + anchors along the centerline of the mounting plate top & bottom. The original Ring screws + anchors are on the 4 corners of the Ring rectangular mounting plate. I avoided drilling another hole in the brick by re-using a hole + anchor from the original plain old button doorbell and mounting this new angle plate down a bit to make use of that hole. It seems they could have easily machined in 4 holes in the corners of this mounting plate.

    Other than that, this works really nicely - you do have to test out the adjustable angle at night to make sure you arenโ€™t getting too close to a wall or door jamb which causes the IR LEDs to overglare on that wall.

    This angle mount worked great for our Ring doorbell, which is sort of struck in a corner. Prior to using mounting the Ring on this angle mount, we got a lovely view of our porch side wall (and a decently good view of our porch entry area!). This angle mount "turned" the Ring just enough to give us a full view of our porch/front door.

    The angle mount has an adjustable angle. Wed used it as its smallest angle setting and it works great. I cannot speak to the other angle settings, but I see no reason why it would work just as well at any of these angles.

    It seemed a little expensive for what it is (a chunk of molded plastic), but it works well and solved the problem - and there doesn't seem to be a competing product (so I guess they can charge a premium in the absence of competition).
